Chapter 4: Ceremony
Back in the human world, Marie was on the phone with her mother.
"Yes, mom. Everything is going well. I've unpacked and I'm ready for the start of school. My roommates are nice, but I can't have you meeting them right now. They left this morning to do some stuff and aren't back yet." They had been speaking for an hour now. "Yes, alright mom. Goodnight, I'll call you back soon." They hung up on each other as Marie looked outside the window. The sun was beginning to set.
"Where are those two at so late in the day when they left so early?"

Chapter 3: Stone Tree
The forest outside had changed. The trees were no longer green at all. They were taller, had darker bark, and had deep purple leaves. "You know," James had begun to say, still holding the book. "You would expect trees to not look like this, but there is an actual tree that has purple leaves." When nobody responded, he continued. "It's called a burgundy lace-" He was cut off by Tess hushing him.
Andrew turned his head suddenly. For a second he thought he heard something, it had sounded like somebody speaking. He looked back at the other two, who were mostly looking out area. They were

Chapter Two: Elves
In another world, the same yet different of their own, a young man just completed his seventieth birthday. Verdan, like many other elves in The Hamlet, was tall and thin. It was possible to see his bones when unclothed. He had light blond hair and pointed ears. The only thing not average about him was his eyes. While elves usually had brightly colored eyes ranging from blue to pink, his eyes were dark purple.
His life was also relatively normal. For example, last night he had just celebrated turning seventy. That night marked him officially turning into an adult. After a night of celebratio

Chapter Thirty Four: Advice
The phone rang for a second, but soon a voice answered.
"Hello?" The voice was and tired. "I'm sorry, but it's almost time for a meeting. Can you call back in a few hours?"
"Oh," I began. "Is this Ashton?"
"Yeah, I'm Ashton. Do I know you?"
"Well, you might not remember me. This is (Y/N) (L/N). We knew each other as kids. I don't know if you remember or not."
"(Y/N)? I, I think I remember you. We were about ten years old, right?"
"Yes, that's right."
"Well is nice to hear from you again, but I don't understand. Why are you calling me righ

Chapter One: The Four Players
For once in all of time, the Stars spoke to themselves and spoke a story that every mortal heard. For a while, the humans listened. Eventually, however, they stopped and began to turn to other ways of finding out what to do. Once someone stopped listening, the Stars would never speak to them again.
With what few people still listened to the true Stars, a group emerged. They were players in a game that not even the Stars understood. At the very end, they could be seen looking up when ashes fell and smoke arose. Then, after their lives of listening to the long story of the Stars, they changed the w

The Case of Mr. Alcott Miller
This paper has been granted to Mr. Alcott Miller by the police of Phantegia.
Every word I write is being watched by the police. This is fine, as they gave me the paper and the pen. They know I refuse to speak. Am I mute? Perhaps.
Firstly, I will tell of where my dear friend went wrong. Yes, my dear friend, Daniel Taylor. We have an impatient one here, this officer. Calm down, sir. I will only tell the end when the end is right to come. You will see.
Daniel Taylor and I met after he moved to my neighborhood in 1998. We became fast friends as we had many similar interests. We both

The Queenly Tale - Part One
First day of month one, generation 364;
Father gave me this book and had told me to write in it. He told me to “put in all my thoughts in order to keep your mind clear of indecencies.” He never understands my mind, so how would he know what is best for me?
Oh, well, I guess. That’s just my life.
He told me to “pretend like the book is your friend.” Does that mean I have to feed it, too? I don’t like this one little bit.
Anyways, my name is Magni Barenta Estila. My father is Quanto Filbe Estila. My mother was Lis Aneta Estila. I

Due to the change to Eclipse, some features of DeviantArt has been not working. I try to log into DevintArt everyday and accept artworks that you wonderful people have been trying to put into our folders. However, when I accept it just asks to be accepted or denied again. It does not matter how many times I click accept. When I refresh the page, as I had thought it was just a me problem, the entire submission is gone. You would expect that it would be in the group now since it was still asking for my input on the submission. Maybe it had gone through and just needed some time to update and it auto deleted the message? No. I looked at the group, and I have had many submissions over the last sixteen days and none of them have gone through. I feel like I have to apologize for what is happening, if it is just on my end. It might also be DeviantArt's fault. I have not seen anything from anyone else with this issue. I hope you all can be understanding until I can get this fixed
